Two longtime lay board members were honored at the Saturday, April
21, 2001 meeting of the NMRLS Board of Directors in Oxford, MS. Mrs.
Katherine Weathersby of Sallis, MS., and Mr. Joe B. Leonard of Starkville,
MS., were presented plaques by Managing Attorney, Nancy H. Stuart, on behalf
of the West Point Litigation Center. In presenting the awards
of merit, Ms. Stuart thanked Mrs. Weathersby and Mr. Leonard for their
"generous assistance to the people served by North Mississippi Rural Legal
Services."
