MISSISSIPPI CENTER FOR LEGAL SERVICES is seeking a
Regional Managing Attorney for its Gulfport office. The following are some of
the basic and minimum qualifications and responsibilities for the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited law school.
Be admitted to practice law or applying for admission to
practice law in the State of Mississippi. Meet State Bar exam eligibility
requirements (License preferred)
Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a
legal services attorney or in a related law field.
Have demonstrable interest in the area of poverty law and
working with low income persons.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
Direct the overall operations of the service area for the Gulfport office in
compliance with policies established by the Legal Services Corporation, Board of
Directors of MCLS and the Executive Director of Administration.
Perform required and delegated administrative duties tasks
and supervise directly all staff in the office.
Interview, advise, represent clients and maintain
individual client caseload
